ABOUT

Euan Gray is a composer, performer, writer, producer, and creative collaborator based in Cambodia. For more than two decades, his work has spanned music, education, storytelling, and creative collaboration, creating projects that connect people, ideas, and culture.

Beginning as a musician and educator, Euan's practice has evolved through composition, production, writing, coaching, and project development. As co-founder of Songkites and former Music Director of The Sound Initiative, he has spent much of his career exploring how music can create opportunities for learning, connection, and creative expression.

His work ranges from original music and performance to books, exhibitions, educational initiatives, and large-scale creative projects, often bringing together artists, institutions, and communities from different backgrounds and disciplines.

A recurring theme throughout this work is communication. Whether composing music, developing stories, mentoring artists, or leading collaborative projects, the focus remains on helping people connect with ideas, with one another, and with the stories that shape their lives.

Having spent much of his professional life in Cambodia, Euan's work is informed by long-term relationships and a deep engagement with the country's creative and cultural landscape. Rather than viewing disciplines in isolation, he approaches creative work as a collaborative process in which music, storytelling, education, culture, and community can inform and strengthen one another.

His current focus is KARMA, an original musical in development that brings together many strands of his practice, including composition, writing, research, education, and artistic collaboration. Through both KARMA and the wider KarmaLab initiative, he continues to explore how creative projects can foster dialogue, build relationships, and create meaningful cultural experiences.
